Chris Stacy Lead Vocal/Guitar/Banjo

Chris Stacy was born in a small town, near Bristol TN, the Birthplace of country
music. He can trace his roots to A.P. Carter and the Carter family on one side
and Morgan Wallen on the other. His grandfather and great grandfather were
scheduled to play on the Grand Ole Opry, but WW2 broke out and his grandfather
answered the call. Chris's love for music began at an early age in churches
where they would play the old hymns that instilled a deep harmony in his soul.
He began learning guitar at age 5 and then vocal classes by age 12. At age 18,
his writing skills were noticed by Kim Williams, a top songwriter in Nashville at
Sony Tree publishing, with number one hits by Garth Brooks, Joe Diffie, Reba
McEntire and many others. An apprentice position was offered to Chris, so he
packed his bags and drove his Chevy Van to Nashville to start his musical
career.
Chris formed a band while in Nashville called Chris Stacy and the Rain
Band and set out on the road in bars and nightclubs and even the occasional gas
station, until one day a guy in the crowd met him during the show and handed him
a card and said "see you in Nashville on Monday". The card was from a talent
scout at Curb records. Soon the van and trailer became a Tour bus, with a real
schedule (no gas stations were played after this) and an EP record contract that
wound up on country radio stations all over the world. Chris Stacy and the Rain
Band would go on to open for some of the biggest names in Country music; Deirks Bentley, Gary Allen, David Ball, Dr Hook, Rascal Flatts, Brian McComas, Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Clint Black and many many more.
Chris went on to play professionally until 2008 when like many others, the
economy took a hit and artists were let go to weather the storm. Chris continued
to play in Casinos and clubs all over the U.S. until he got the opportunity to buy
his very own nightclub in Montana. It was the largest nightclub venue in the state,
where Chris and his band would perform 4 nights a week and headliner
acts come in from time to time as well. Chris retired from his professional music
career to follow another dream and now owns the largest edible cooking oil
company in Nevada with over 40 employees and his clients are some of the most
recognizable casinos and restaurants in the world. Chris met Russ at guitar
center in 2022 where they struck up a friendship. Please enjoy The Chris Stacy Project .....
